The Study of Immune Globulin Gamma (IgG) Immune Globulin Macro Glo bulin (IgM) and Immune Globulin A (IgA) Level in Tetanus

Abstract
Quantitative measurement of the serum immune globulin (IgG, IgA and IgM) were conducted on 7 tetanus patients who were treated at the Seoul National University Hospital.
Lim¢¥s method was used in calculating levels of immune globulin, i.e. IgG, IgA and IgM, in serum.
1. Immune globulin levels in the serum of tetanus patients were as follows:
a) IgG value is 2, 293.7mg¡¾266.Omg/l00ml(S.D.)
b) IgA value is 380.4mg¡¾49.9mg/lOOm1 (S.D.)
c) IgM value is 105.6mg¡¾46.6mg/lOOm1 (S.D.)
2. IgG levels in the serum of tetanus patients were higher than was the case with healthy Koreans and Westerners as well as control group.
3. IgA level in tetanus patients were higher than in healthy Koreans and control group.
4. IgM level in tetanus patients were higher than in control group and healthy Koreans.
